Getting to Whitehouse by road: From Edinburgh follow the A68 to St. Boswells (one hour). From the M6 at Carlisle follow the A7 to Hawick then the A698 and A68 to St. Boswells (about 90 minutes). From the A1 at Newcastle follow the A696 then A68 to St. Boswells (about 90 minutes). From St. Boswells follow the B6404 to the turning on the right for Whitehouse (five minutes).
